The addition of triazone nitrogen gives foliar nitrogen products some unique characteristics:

• Products remain on the leaf surface longer in the liquid phase than conventional urea-based products
• Increased foliar nitrogen absorption
• Reduced ammonia volatilization
• Greatly reduced potential for burn
• A longer and more uniform nitrogen release pattern

Blend® Plus nitrogen fertilizer solution (28-0-0) contains 70% controlled-release nitrogen from triazone, substituted triazones and other organic N compounds and 30% readily available nitrogen from urea. The material weighs 10.6 pounds per gallon and contains 2.97 pounds of actual N per gallon. Salting-out temperature and freezing point are both less than 0°F. Blend® Plus is an ideal nitrogen source for cool and warm season turf grasses.

Blend® Plus is very versatile in its application on turf. It's safety and controlled-release characteristics makes it extremely adaptable to the many turf nutrition programs utilized by lawn care companies and commerical turf managers.

Blend® Plus is used by many as the sole source nitrogen in their spray programs, while other turn managers will mix it with urea at levels of controlled-release nitrogen varying from 25% to 60%.
